Jura Z10 Review

One super-automatic machine, price not available. The Jura Z10 super-automatic espresso machine is Jura's top home model, with hot and cold brewing and an automatic milk system. Jura's US site shows no price; Whole Latte Love sells the second generation at $4,399 (checked October 16, 2026). On Amazon, durability draws the worst complaint share, 13 of 17 mentions. It suits a household that wants cold brew and lattes at a button press.

a household that drinks both iced and hot coffee and wants a super-automatic that handles cold extraction, milk, and cleaning prompts on its own.

Specs and claimed vs measured

Jura publishes capacities and a pump rating, not brew temperatures or warm-up times. Of the 14 Z10 videos we checked, seven came from dealers, and none timed the warm-up or measured a temperature, so the reviewer column is short.

What Jura states vs what reviewers observed on the Z10 (14 videos checked, October 15, 2026)
Jura saysReviewers observed
Warm-upNot statedno reviewer timed it
Brew temperatureNot statedno reviewer measured it
Cold brew espressoCold Extraction programabout 90 s, roughly double a hot espresso (Coffee Warehouse, a retailer)
Pressure“Pump pressure static, max. 15 bar” (manual)not measurable without a gauge
Water use81 fl oz (2.4 L) tankrefills every 2–3 days on the Gen 2 because of automatic rinses (Men's Journal)

The cold side is where the Z10 differs from most super-automatics. Coffee Warehouse, a dealer, saw a cold-brew espresso take about 90 seconds, roughly twice a hot one. Men's Journal found the second-generation machine's automatic rinses empty the 2.4 L tank every 2–3 days, and noted a few spontaneous noises after brewing.

Real price: MSRP, street price, tax and shipping

Jura's US site lists the Z10 without a price. Whole Latte Love sells the current second generation (NAB) at $4,399 and still had the first generation (NAA) at $3,399 on October 16, 2026. Add sales tax, which varies by state.

Running costs come from water treatment and cleaning. Jura's manual says the machine “automatically prompts you to descale it,” and that with a CLEARYL Smart+ filter in place it doesn't ask for descaling at all (p. 28), so the filter is the main recurring purchase.

One owner put it plainly: “I love mine. One year in and no complaints. Product is Hot. Maintenance is costly, however these machines have a proven longevity.” (r/superautomatic, July 19, 2026).

Where to buy: Jura authorized dealers vs Amazon

Jura's US warranty requires a purchase from an Authorized JURA Dealer and names eBay purchases as excluded (warranty terms). That makes the seller the first thing to check. Whole Latte Love's price above is one authorized-dealer data point; we haven't confirmed which other stores are on Jura's list.

The Amazon listing we track shows 4.0 out of 5 from 150 ratings (checked October 15, 2026). One Amazon reviewer wrote, “Broke in less than a year. Since Amazon allows non authorized sellers of Jura, if you buy through Amazon, your warranty is worthless.”

Warranty and returns

Z10
2-yr

Jura's US warranty “covers your new JURA Automatic Coffee Machine for two years or up to 6,000 coffee brewings, whichever comes first.” It covers parts and labor and includes “free ground transportation to and from our repair facilities within the continental United States.” It is valid only in the United States, and excludes “Damage caused by neglecting and omitting maintenance, cleaning and decalcifying cycles.”

Before any repair, Jura's terms say “Do not send any product back to JURA Inc. without a Return Authorization”; the number to call is 1-800-220-5701. Return terms come from the dealer, so ask before you order.

Parts and service in the US

Repairs go by mail to Jura Inc. after you get a Return Authorization, with ground shipping both ways free under warranty within the continental US. Jura's parts and accessories store, shopjura.com, didn't load when we checked. For heavier, shared use, see our office espresso machine picks.

Cold Extraction and hot drinks

Jura calls the cold program Cold Extraction, and the Z10 is listed with a Cold Brew Nitro kit and a Cool Control 1.0 L milk cooler. Coffee Warehouse's 90-second cold-brew espresso, about twice a hot shot, is the only timing we found. We found no reviewer measurement of how cold the drink comes out.

Grinder

Jura names the grinder the Product Recognising Grinder P.R.G.2+. Our database has no burr size or grind range from Jura for it, and no reviewer we found tested its consistency, so we don't rate it here. Since a super-automatic grinds whatever you load, our coffee beans for espresso list is a reasonable next stop.

Milk system and cleaning

The Z10 uses Jura's HP3 milk system. Milk is also the top complaint we found: four r/superautomatic posts describe sputtering milk, thin foam, or no froth, one on a four-year-old machine. One owner wrote “The issue is that it stopped making rich/creamy froth - it’s only producing warm milk with a thin layer of foam (which is not fluffy).” (r/superautomatic, June 28, 2026).

On Amazon, 8 of 14 mentions of the milk system are negative, and one reviewer wrote, “I had this product for one month when the cold brew function stopped working (less than 30 cups of coffee).” (checked October 15, 2026).

Z10 Gen 1 vs Gen 2

The current US model is the second generation, code NAB; the first generation, NAA, was still on sale at $3,399, $1,000 less, when we checked. Our database doesn't yet record the hardware changes between them, so we don't list them. Men's Journal's refill and noise notes above are from the second generation.

Jura Z10 vs E6

The Jura E6 is the simpler, cheaper Jura: no cold brew, the HP1 milk system instead of HP3, and a smaller tank, for $2,600 less at Whole Latte Love. Both carry two-year warranties.

Size, power and water

The Z10 runs on 120V at 1,450W and weighs 27 lb. Jura lists it at 12.6 W × 14.3 H × 18.5 D in. The water tank holds 81 fl oz (2.4 L), the bean container 10 oz, and the grounds container about 20 servings; there is no plumb-in option.

Daily upkeep: cleaning, descaling and water

The Z10 manual has the machine prompt you for cleaning and descaling, and drops the descaling prompt while a CLEARYL Smart+ filter is in use (p. 28). Jura's warranty excludes damage from skipped maintenance, cleaning, or descaling cycles, so the prompts matter for coverage as well as taste. Expect frequent automatic rinses; on the second generation they meant a tank refill every 2–3 days.

Recalls and safety notices

We found no CPSC recall for the Z10 or Jura's current home machines as of October 15, 2026. The CPSC's records for Jura's US importer include recall 06-124 from March 30, 2006, when about 6,600 Jura Impressa machines were recalled for a fire hazard (CPSC notice). The Z10 manual cites Standard UL 1082 (p. 32); we haven't matched it to a listing record.

Jura Z10

The Amazon listing shows 4.0 out of 5 from 150 ratings and sorts reviews by topic (checked October 15, 2026). On Reddit we read 400 posts and comments from October 27, 2024 to October 13, 2026. One site isn't enough for a complaint index, so read the counts as a lower bound.

What owners complain about

Durability has the worst share on Amazon, 13 of 17 mentions negative, followed by value for money at 14 of 23 and the milk system at 8 of 14. On Reddit, 7 of 400 posts (1.8%) described a fault, led by the frothing problems above.

What owners praise

Coffee quality: 20 of 24 Amazon mentions are positive. One long-term owner channel reports over 3,000 drinks in two and a half years and still likes the machine (video). A search of r/superautomatic returned 267 posts about the Z10, one of which described a breakdown.

Questions people ask

Is the Jura Z10 worth the money?

It is if you'll use the cold drinks. At $4,399 for the second generation, you pay $2,600 more than a Jura E6 at the same store, mainly for Cold Extraction and the HP3 milk system. Buy from an authorized dealer, because Jura's warranty doesn't cover others, and budget for CLEARYL filters.

What is the lifespan of a Jura Z10?

Jura doesn't publish one. Its warranty runs two years or 6,000 brewings, whichever comes first. One owner channel reports over 3,000 drinks in two and a half years, while Amazon owners give durability the worst score of any topic, 13 of 17 mentions negative.

How much does the Jura Z10 cost in the US?

Jura's US site shows no price. Whole Latte Love listed the second generation at $4,399 and the first generation at $3,399 on October 16, 2026. Add sales tax and CLEARYL Smart+ filters, which replace descaling while in use, per Jura's manual.

What are the common problems with Jura espresso machines?

On the Z10, owners report milk frothing problems most: thin foam, sputtering, or no froth, in four of the 400 Reddit posts we read. On Amazon, durability and the milk system draw the most negative mentions. One Amazon reviewer stresses buying from an authorized dealer, since Jura's warranty excludes other sellers.
