Best Espresso Machine Brands of 2026
No single brand suits every buyer, so we compared the 14 brands on US service, warranty, price, and owner reports. Breville has the most models we track (12), from $299.95 to $2,799.95. In the Reddit posts we read, failure reports ran from 0.4% to 5.7% of posts across the seven brands with enough data to compare.

Where the machines are made
Few brands state where a machine is built on the US pages we logged. Philips' spec sheet says the Philips 3200 Series LatteGo is made in Romania and China; Jura's US site says the Jura E8 is made in Portugal. For the other brands in the table, we haven't logged a statement from the brand, so we don't name a country.
A brand's home country and the place a given machine is assembled can differ, so check the product page or the box if it matters to you.
How we picked
We started from the brands with home machines in our database that are sold in the US. Then we counted models and logged prices, warranties, and service terms from brand and dealer pages. Owner numbers come from Reddit posts and comments we read and from Amazon ratings, with dates. How we research explains the method.
Commercial brands such as La Marzocco's Linea line and Nuova Simonelli are covered in our commercial espresso machine picks.
Questions people ask
Is De'Longhi or Breville better?
They differ on service more than anything. De'Longhi repairs through authorized US service shops and gives two years of warranty; Breville repairs by mail and gives one to two years, depending on the model. In our Reddit reading, 0.4% of De'Longhi posts and 0.6% of Breville posts described a failure. Breville makes more manual machines; De'Longhi makes more super-automatics.
Which espresso machine brand is most reliable?
We can't rank reliability, only show failure reports. Among brands with at least 100 posts read and three or more failure reports, the share ran from 0.4% for De'Longhi to 5.7% for Philips. Too few reports to compare: one failure report in 682 posts for Gaggia and two failure reports in 363 posts for Ninja. All come from one site, so treat them as a lower bound.
What are the top espresso machine brands?
The table above compares 14 brands sold in the US. For a first machine, start with the brands that make single boiler machines or machines with a built-in grinder. For a bigger budget, look at the prosumer brands; for one-touch drinks, the super-automatic brands. Our best espresso machines picks name specific models.
