Jura E6 Review
One super-automatic machine, price not available. The Jura E6 espresso machine is a super-automatic from Jura's E line with a Professional Aroma Grinder P.A.G. and the HP1 automatic milk system. Jura's US site lists no price; Whole Latte Love had it at $1,799 (checked October 16, 2026). Three owners report no failures after 18 months to about 4 years, though Amazon reviewers want hotter milk foam. It suits hot espresso and milk drinks without cold-brew extras.

Who it suits
someone who wants a Jura for hot espresso, coffee, and milk drinks and doesn't need cold brew or a large tank, at $2,600 less than the Z10.
you care most about hot milk foam: it's the complaint Amazon owners repeat. Skip it too if price decides it; De'Longhi's Magnifica Evo is $899.05 less with its own milk carafe.
Specs and claimed vs measured
There's almost nothing measured to report. Of the 15 E6 videos we checked, eight came from dealers and the rest are owner testimonials or spec read-outs. None timed the warm-up or put a thermometer in the cup. What we have is below.
| Jura says | Reviewers observed | |
|---|---|---|
| Warm-up | Not stated | not timed; a dealer saw it start a little quicker than the E8 (ECS Coffee) |
| Brew temperature | Not stated | no reviewer measured it |
| Dose | Not stated | up to 16 g at the strongest setting (ECS Coffee, a dealer) |
| Pressure | “Pump pressure static, max. 15 bar” (manual) | not measurable without a gauge |
| Reliability over time | warranty: two years or 6,000 brewings | no failures after 18 months, 3 years, and about 4 years of daily use (three owners) |
The useful signal is durability. Mack Robertson has used his E6 every morning for about 18 months, Brian for 3 years, and Ellie for about 4 years, all without a failure. Three owners is a small sample, but it is the only long-term evidence on camera.
Real price: MSRP, street price, tax and shipping
Jura's US site shows the E6 without a price. Whole Latte Love listed it at $1,799 on October 16, 2026, in four colors: Platin, Piano White, Piano Black, and Dark Inox. Sales tax comes on top and varies by state.
The recurring cost is water treatment. The manual says “The E6 builds up deposits of limescale over time and automatically prompts you to descale it when necessary,” and that with a CLEARYL Smart cartridge “you will not be prompted to descale” (p. 26). In other words, you pay either for filters or for descaling.
Where to buy: Jura authorized dealers
Buy from an authorized Jura dealer. Jura's warranty excludes any machine not bought from one, and names eBay purchases specifically (warranty terms). Whole Latte Love is the dealer whose price we logged.
Amazon carries several E6 listings with different ratings. The best, E6 Platinum 15465, shows 4.6 out of 5 from 91 ratings; the Piano White listing shows 3.9 from 35, with 24% one-star (checked October 15, 2026). Confirm the seller before you buy.
Warranty and returns
Coverage is Jura's standard US warranty, the same as on the Z10: two years or 6,000 brewings, whichever comes first, parts and labor included. Ground shipping to and from repair in the continental US is free. It needs a Return Authorization before you ship anything; our Jura Z10 review quotes the terms in full.
Return windows belong to the dealer, so ask before you order.
Parts and service in the US
Service is by mail to Jura Inc. under the Return Authorization. Parts and accessories are sold through shopjura.com and Jura's dealers. None of the three long-term owner videos above mentions a repair.
Milk system: how hot is the foam?
The E6 uses Jura's HP1 automatic milk system; the Z10 steps up to HP3. Milk is the complaint that repeats on Amazon. One reviewer wrote, “Love my Jura! Definitely worth the expense. The only thing I would change is the froth temperature - wish it came out hotter.” Another wrote, “Makes a great espresso, but the froth is way sub par. Delivered warm milk instead of froth.” (checked October 15, 2026).
No reviewer we found measured the milk temperature, so we can't put a number on it. If you drink cappuccinos daily, our cappuccino machine picks compare milk systems.
Grinder and drinks
Jura calls the grinder the Professional Aroma Grinder P.A.G.. The dealer ECS Coffee put the strongest setting at up to 16 g of coffee. One Amazon reviewer wrote, “Disappointed, stopped working on the second day. Grinder stopped working completely and screen just keeps saying refill beans” A super-automatic grinds whatever you load, so our coffee beans for espresso list is worth a look.
Jura E6 vs Z10 vs Magnifica Evo
Against its neighbors, the E6 sits in the middle on price. The Z10 adds cold drinks and a bigger tank for $2,600 more; the Magnifica Evo costs $899.05 less and uses a milk carafe.
| Jura E6 | De'Longhi Magnifica Evo | Jura Z10 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $1,799 (Whole Latte Love) | $899.95 (De'Longhi) | $4,399 (Whole Latte Love) |
| Milk | HP1 automatic milk system | LatteCrema carafe | HP3 automatic milk system |
| Cold brew | No | No | Yes |
| Water tank | 64 fl oz | 61 fl oz | 81 fl oz |
| Weight | 20 lb | 21.17 lb | 27 lb |
| Warranty | two years or 6,000 brewings | two years, plus one with registration | two years or 6,000 brewings |
We haven't added Jura's E8, ENA 8, or E4 to our database yet, so they aren't in the table. For how Jura compares with other makers, see our espresso machine brand guide, and our super-automatic picks line up the field.
Size, power and water
The E6 runs on 120V at 1,450W and weighs 20 lb. Jura lists it at 11 W × 13.8 H × 17.6 D in. The water tank holds 64 fl oz (1.9 L), the bean container 9.9 oz, and the grounds container about 16 servings; it has no plumb-in option. For shared use, see our office espresso machine picks.
Daily upkeep: cleaning, descaling and water
The E6 manual has the machine prompt you to clean and descale, and drops the descaling prompt while a CLEARYL Smart cartridge is fitted (p. 26). Jura's warranty excludes damage from skipped cleaning or descaling, so the prompts are worth following.
One small habit to learn: Mack Robertson notes the start-up rinse spills if no cup is under the spout.
Recalls and safety notices
We found no CPSC recall for the E6 or other current Jura home machines as of October 15, 2026. The Jura recall we found in the CPSC database dates to 2006 and covered Impressa models (CPSC notice). The manual cites Standard UL 1082, which we haven't matched to a listing record.
What owners say
We track three Amazon listings for the E6, 213 ratings in all, and read 101 Reddit posts and comments from November 20, 2024 to September 18, 2026. Reddit is one site, so read the counts as a lower bound rather than a complaint index.
What owners complain about
Milk froth draws repeated comments on Amazon, and one Amazon reviewer wrote about the grinder: “Disappointed, stopped working on the second day. Grinder stopped working completely and screen just keeps saying refill beans” On Reddit, three of 101 posts (3%) described a fault, including one owner who wrote “So folks, my Jura E6 crapped after an error 8. Thankfully was able to work through a refund.” (r/espresso, September 5, 2026).
What owners praise
Coffee quality: on the best-rated listing, 23 of 27 Amazon mentions of brew quality are positive. Long-term owners on video report years without a failure, and a search of r/superautomatic returned 48 posts about the E6, two of which described a breakdown.
Questions people ask
Is the Jura E6 a good coffee machine?
Owners rate the coffee well, and three who filmed long-term reviews report no failures after 18 months to about 4 years. The weak spot in reviews is milk foam that isn't hot enough. At $1,799, it costs less than the Z10 but more than De'Longhi's Magnifica Evo. Buy from an authorized dealer to keep the warranty.
What are the dimensions of the Jura E6?
Jura lists the E6 at 11 W × 13.8 H × 17.6 D in and 20 lb. The water tank holds 64 fl oz (1.9 L) and the bean container 9.9 oz; the grounds container takes about 16 servings. All figures are from Jura's US product page.
How long will a Jura E6 last?
Jura doesn't publish a lifespan; its warranty runs two years or 6,000 brewings. Owners on video report about 4 years of daily use without a failure, while a few Amazon reviewers saw early faults. Following the cleaning and descaling prompts matters, since the warranty excludes damage from skipping them.
